In line with the vision of the Giant Token Charity Foundation, the Lagos team recently carried out a heartfelt outreach aimed at supporting widows and their children within the Ifako-Ijaiye community of Lagos State.
The team, made up of passionate and dedicated members of the Giant Token ecosystem, continues to demonstrate that this project is not just about blockchain — but about real lives and real impact.
Led by David Favour Ojodomo (Crypto Prophet), alongside a committed group of team members, the outreach was carried out on March 28th, 2026, at Adekoya Estate, College Road.
From the onset, the focus was clear — to reach widows facing serious challenges such as difficulty in feeding their families, lack of financial support for small businesses, and struggles with paying school fees for their children.
Ifako-Ijaiye was carefully selected due to its diverse population and the visible presence of individuals in need, including laborers, small-scale traders, and families navigating economic hardship.
Originally, six widows were identified and prepared for support. However, during the course of the outreach, an additional widow joined after being informed by one of the beneficiaries. In the true spirit of compassion, the team extended help to her as well, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to seven.
Each of the selected widows received substantial support packages, including bags of rice and beans, cooking oil, essential household items, and financial assistance. The additional beneficiary was also supported with both food items and cash, ensuring that no one left empty-handed.
What stood out most was not just the distribution of items, but the emotional atmosphere that followed.
Many of the women were overwhelmed with gratitude — some moved to tears, others expressing joy in ways that words could not fully capture. Their prayers and heartfelt appreciation reflected the depth of their needs and the significance of the support received.
At one point, the excitement grew so much that some beneficiaries began calling others to come and receive assistance. While the team had to maintain order, this moment revealed just how many more people in the community are in need of help.
For the team, the experience was deeply humbling.
Seeing the smiles, hearing the prayers, and witnessing the impact firsthand has only strengthened their resolve to continue reaching more lives. The outreach was not just an act of giving — it was a reminder of purpose.
